Stalls selling egg waffles are apparently everywhere on the streets of Hong Kong. Ive never been to Hong Kong, but I did frequent such a stall on the mean streets of Chinatown in New York. The lady sold bags of 15 of these for $1, which seems like a bad deal if you consider that one flip of a waffle pan makes around 50 little eggettes.

I never found another such stall again, leaving me in something like a 5-year egg waffle withdrawal. So a few months ago I went and purchased this made by Nordic Ware from Williams Sonoma, which enabled me to freely cook these tasty treats at home. It takes some practice (mostly figuring out how long to leave your waffle pan on the stove) but my egg waffles turned out to be a delicious breakfast this morning!
